Start with the room facts that change comfort
Compare the square meter size, bed configuration, occupancy limit, window or balcony notes, and whether the bathroom setup is private, shared, shower-only, or bathtub-equipped.
If a hotel lists several similar room names, look for the one or two details that separate them: floor, view, balcony, extra bed, or whether a room is newly renovated.
Use photos as evidence, not decoration
Look for multiple images from the same room category. One polished room photo is useful, but the bathroom, storage, window, and bed angle usually tell you more.
When room-specific photos are missing, treat the page as a checklist. Confirm the final room view and layout on the booking provider before paying.
Check the booking terms last
Once the room looks right, compare live availability, taxes, final price, cancellation policy, and payment timing on the booking platform.
The best room is not always the cheapest one. A slightly higher rate can be better if the cancellation rule is clearer or the bed setup fits the group.
