Give the two hotels different jobs
The strongest split is not two versions of the same resort day. Use the inland base for the plans that benefit from Ubud or Payangan—resort time, wellness, workshops, dining, or selected cultural outings—then move north only when Lovina unlocks a genuinely different coast, morning, or local route.
If every must-do plan still points back to one region, keep one hotel. The saved checkout, packing, and transfer time is usually more useful than adding another address to the itinerary.

That makes it a resort-led evidence check—not proof of a walkable Ubud-centre stay. Confirm the current shuttle schedule and the exact route for any fixed town plans.
Protect the Ubud-to-Lovina transfer day
Indonesia's official Lovina guide currently estimates about 2.5 hours from Ubud. Treat that as planning context, not a guaranteed arrival time: traffic, weather, pickup location, stops, and the exact hotels can change the journey.
Reserve the vehicle before the hotel handoff, share both addresses, and leave room around checkout and check-in. Keep mobile data available for driver messages and live routing, and do not place a fixed boat, spa, or dinner booking immediately after the optimistic map time.
