Start with the airport and the uncertainty after landing
Suvarnabhumi Airport's current transport page places the Airport Rail Link on Level B1 and lists taxi, Grab, limousine, bus, and other road choices. Thai government guidance identifies the city rail connections at Phaya Thai for BTS and Makkasan for MRT. That is the network map; the useful plan still includes immigration, bags, the service window, the final interchange, and the hotel door.
Save the full hotel address and a reachable contact before takeoff. For a late or uncertain arrival, favor fewer handoffs and a clear lobby entrance. For a comfortable daytime arrival with manageable luggage, compare rail plus the final leg against a door-to-door vehicle instead of assuming one mode always wins.

Set up roaming, an eSIM, or a local SIM before the route depends on maps, ride-hailing, pickup messages, or a booking confirmation. Hotel Wi-Fi begins after the hardest part of the handoff; it does not help when the driver and guest are using different exits.
Keep the selected hotel name, address, room, provider page, and transfer contact in one offline note. If the group separates, each person should be able to name the same property and show the same destination without reopening a chain of search results.
Match the first dinner to the energy left after check-in
A river or rooftop dinner can justify a Silom-area first night only when the arrival leaves a real buffer. lebua's current first-party page lists multiple restaurants and bars with different reservation guidance, so the venue—not the hotel's skyline image—must control the timing and access check.
After a long or uncertain journey, a walkable meal, food court, room-service check, or simple nearby option is often the stronger plan. Save the destination dinner for a night when the group can enjoy it without converting every airport delay into a missed reservation.
